Best chiropractor Kingston upon Thames

If you have been living with  chronic  back, neck or extremity pain for a long time, you have probably have tried a lot of things by now such as taking  pain killers or used heat, exercises or perhaps rested but the problem is still there and maybe getting worse with time.

We see people like you all the time at Achieve Spinal Health in Kingston upon Thames on a daily basis.

One treatment we use frequently in our clinic is called Interferential Therapy  or sometimes Ultrasound Therapy accompanied primarily by  spinal and or extremity manipulation. This is why our sessions last for 30 minutes and not your usual ten minute session.

So let us take you through your journey from the initial visit which  includes an in-depth medical history, consultation,  spinal assessment and one treatment that includes either Interferential therapy or Ultrasound therapy. All follow-up sessions will include a spinal and or extremity manipulation accompanied (by either an interferential therapy or ultrasound therapy at no extra charge  for these two  therapies).

The Morning Before

Let us start where you are right now. You wake up and your back is stiff. Not the kind of stiff that works itself out after a few steps. The kind that stays with you all day, making every small thing harder than it should be.

You have had this for months. Maybe years. You have learned to live around it. You avoid certain chairs. You move differently. You have stopped doing things you used to love, because it just is not worth the pain.

This is what chronic pain does. It does not shout. It just quietly takes things away from you, one at a time.

The First Visit What to Expect and Who You Will See

At Achieve Spinal Health you will be seen by  Lisa Dadalia, Ostim, MAO, who is the back pain specialist and has many years of experience in her field.  A little information about Lisa is that she  studied and graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from the USA. She also trained in the UK where she earned her Doctor of Osteomyology and is currently a member of  the Association of Osteomyology.

On your initial consultation we take an in-depth medical history, do some orthopaedic tests and Neurological tests. We then assess your vitality signs,   range of motion, look at your posture, feet and spine and or your  extremity.   Then we do a report of findings to let you know and understand what we found, how long it will take approximately to correct, how much it will cost , give  recommendations and answer all of your questions. This process takes up to fifty to Sixty minutes including a spinal and or extremity manipulation and interferential or  ultrasound therapy included.

If we feel interferential therapy will benefit you more than ultrasound therapy in order to get out of pain faster , we will discuss it with you to know  exactly what to expect from this therapy.

The  Interferential Therapy

You lie down on  your tummy on the treatment table at our office and four pads are placed on your skin around the  painful area. These pads are connected to a machine that sends  out a gentle tingling sensation to your skin and causes your muscles to contract until your muscles fatigue and then relax. At the same time it stimulates blood flow to the area of the pads and promotes healing.

This Interferential Therapy is very relaxing and is pain free.

When you are in chronic pain, overtime your muscles get stiff and remain that way until you take action.

That is why we at Achieve Spinal Health  are more than happy to treat you and get you out of pain successfully.

The Experience  Hours After Spinal and or Extremity Manipulation

Here is what  we hear from many of  our patients after the had the spinal and or extremity manipulation with Interferential Therapy  that  same day is that they slept better with no pain.

When the muscles relax and spinal or joint  correction has taken place , then the  pressure eases up on  the nerve, disc and joint and so the pain calms down.

One good night of sleep may not sound like a big thing, but when you have not had a good night’s sleep in a long time, it feels great.

Follow-up Sessions Weeks Later

One session will not undo many years of neck, back or extremity pain or poor posture. We have to ree

But here is what we see over and over again in our office, is when People who come in twice a week, then once a week, and who start to notice real change within weeks, not months. The stiffness loosens. The pain fades. They start doing things again that they had given up on.

We also do not treat it on its own. We combine interferential therapy with spinal and extremity manipulation to get better, faster results. And here is something we are proud of. Our follow-up sessions last 30 minutes, not the usual 10 or 15 minutes you find in many clinics. We even include ultrasound therapy as part of your session, at no extra cost.

The Honest Truth
